Under Utah state law, students enrolling in kindergarten for the 2026–2027 school year must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026.

Students who turn 5 after September 1, 2026, are not eligible to enroll in kindergarten for that school year.

For the 2027-2028 school year, students must turn 5 on or before September 1, 2027.

According to HB331 Students must be potty trained before attending Kindergarten.

• First Preference: children and grandchildren of the school's founders and those who have served the school as Significant Stakeholders (i.e Teachers and Staff).
• Second Preference: siblings of currently enrolled students
• Third Preference: other students within Utah according to spaces available

1. Applications are accepted for the lottery from the end of August in each school year through 11:59pm on January 31st of each school year.

3. When you fill out the on-line form and click on the "Submit" button, your application will be submitted to the school and your student will be enrolled in the 2027-2028 lottery that will be held in February of 2027.
4. Applications submitted after the enrollment deadline will be added to the bottom of the wait list in the order they are received.

1. Automatic Re-Enrollment Currently enrolled students will automatically be offered a seat for the next school year. Parents must complete the Registration Form by the school’s deadline, usually in early April, to secure their student’s seat. If your student will not be returning, please let us know as soon as possible.
2. Lottery Enrollment Period Applications received during the open enrollment period will be entered into the 2027–2028 Lottery. The lottery will determine each student’s acceptance or waitlist position.
3. Applications After the Lottery Applications received after the deadline will be placed at the bottom of the 2027–2028 waitlist in the order they are received.
4. Acceptance Notifications Acceptance emails will begin being sent by the end of February 2027. Accepted families will receive a Registration Form and instructions for completing the enrollment process.
5. Acceptance Deadline Families will have two weeks from the date of acceptance to accept their student’s offered seat. If the offer is not accepted within two weeks, the seat will be offered to the next student on the waitlist.
6. Waitlists Are Created Each Year A new waitlist is created each school year through the lottery. Applying early for a future school year does not provide an advantage. Students must apply for the specific school year they wish to attend.
7. Kindergarten Age Requirement Children must be 5 years old before September 1, 2027 to enroll in Kindergarten for the 2027–2028 school year.
8. Potty Training Requirement Students must be potty trained before attending school, as required by Utah law. Exceptions may be made for students with a condition documented in an IEP or 504 Plan.
9. Applying to Multiple Schools Families may apply to multiple public or charter schools. However, students may only be enrolled in one school at a time. A student may remain on another school’s waitlist after enrolling at Timp.
10. Age-Appropriate Grade Placement New students will be enrolled in their age-appropriate grade level. Timp Academy does not enroll students in a grade above their age-appropriate placement.

In addition to completing the online registration forms, the following physical documents must be provided to Timpanogos Academy:

1. If your child has not been immunized according to the Utah immunization schedule, you must obtain an exemption form through the Utah Department of Health and Human Services or your local health department.How to Get a Utah Immunization Exemption Form:Please bring the completed exemption documentation, along with documentation of the immunizations your child has received, to Timpanogos Academy at the time of registration.
   • Online Option: Complete the free training through Immunize Utah and print the resulting certificate/form.
   • In-Person Option: Visit a local public health department for a consultation. A fee of up to $25 may apply.
   • Medical Exemptions: If you are claiming a medical exemption, you must also provide a signed written notice from a licensed healthcare provider.
2. Birth Certificate: A copy of your child’s birth certificate.
3. Proof of Residency: Documentation showing that you reside at your current address, such as a utility bill or other official document.

Submitting Documents: These documents may be brought to Timpanogos Academy in person or emailed to Cindy Bullock at cbullock@timpacademy.org

The names of children who have completed registration for Timpanogos Academy have been released to the Alpine School District office. The district office notifies each school of the number of students not returning the following year. Principals will know how many students to plan for, but the identity of individual students is not released.
