Updated COVID-19 Protocols
Dear Parents,
I have been receiving many questions about COVID-19 protocols so I felt it would be a good idea to let you know the latest guidance I have received from the Utah County Health Department. In a nutshell, anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 is required to isolate for 5 days from the test date. If after 5 days symptoms are improving, they are welcome to return to their regular activities. The health department recommends they have a mask on for five additional days after leaving isolation.
If you or your child has been exposed to someone who tests positive for COVID-19 and are vaccinated, there is no recommendation to quarantine at home. The health department recommends wearing a mask for 10 days after your last exposure.
If you or your child is not vaccinated, the health department recommends to quarantine at home for 5 days from the day you were exposed. If after 5 days you don’t have any symptoms, there is no recommendation to continue to quarantine. They recommend wearing a mask for 10 days after your last exposure.
For anyone who does not wish to quarantine, it is recommended to wear a mask for 10 days after exposure whether in school or not.
